Workshop 101 : “Embrace the Future”

Problem:

In today’s society, we are tied to technologies more than ever, the new generations used to computers and cellphones arrived at the work market and is certainly making a big impact. Today the world is expecting young people to be adaptable, scalable and more than all to be leaders in this Digital revolution.
How far did the machine evolve? How the human-machine relationship is being shaped today? How much effort does it take to acquire new technological skills? These are the questions that we will help you to answer through this workshop.

Goal:

“Embrace the Future” aims in the first place to get the participants familiar with the major impacts of the digital world on business. With the help of our moderators, participants will go through the main technological trends in concrete business examples. In a second time, across some Proves Of Concepts, basic soft skills and training, groups of participants will learn how to identify a particular need an answer to it with today’s technologies.

Method:

This workshop will start with lectures and debates on the first day in the aim of identifying participants’ potential skills and match them with a proposed case. Through the rest of the sessions, groups will learn to create a Chatbot, Automatize a task, Analyze a set of Data or apply any other one from free applications provided by web services.

Expected results:

The participants will upgrade their AI and Technological knowledge not only through technical aspects and how easy it is becoming to acquire them, but also with identifying and finding a concrete application to these tools in the business world. This workshop will make it’s participants more aware of this fast changing world and prepare them to the Professional world.

Participants:

In preference, some of the participants should familiar with web applications, soft skills, technology. A personal computer is recommended.

Workshop 102: “It’s all about business ”

Theme:

Startup, Strategy and Marketing

Problem:

The business world is changing in every way, freelance and startup models are becoming more and more important. In a connected world like today’s, it is possible and even desirable to work on international projects all around the globe. Young people today do not lack ideas or involvement but the right methods and steps are to be followed in order to achieve your goal.

Goal:

The Business Workshop aims to help participants to appropriate and apply the steps necessary to create a business through lectures on the basics of strategy, marketing, finance and especially project management.

Method:

Divided into groups, participants will choose a start-up or a business Idea to develop. Through lectures, real examples, and new Business Models as Canvas, our moderators will make sure to get each group the right help to create its Business Plan.

Expected results:

Through this workshop, the participants will upgrade their business knowledge. They might not go home with a million dollar Idea, but by the end of the week, they will certainly know where to look and how to proceed to transform a good Idea into a profitable business.

Workshop 103: “Squeeze out your opinion”

English, Pitch, Public speaking

Problem:

English has achieved prime status by becoming the most widely spoken language in the world, but the success of English as a “universal” language comes with a hefty price, in terms of vulnerability. Problems arise when English is a second language to either speakers, listeners, or both. No matter how proficient they are, their own understanding of English, and their first or native language can change what they believe is being said.

Techniques and methods, body language and other
Scientific methods, body language techniques and simple vocabulary guidance will help the participants to get more comfortable and clear while sharing their ideas.Lectures, discussions, and exercising will help each one of you to perform the perfect pitch for your personal idea by the end of the workshop. The best among you will present their work in the final ceremony.

Problem:

We live in an age where stress is a big component of our everyday life. This modern age disease affects all of us, regardless of our nationality, profession or age. For this reason, it is important to become aware of the body, the problems we might already have, or the ones we can prevent from happening, as early as possible, and work diligently on maintaining an optimal level of health

Goal:

Even though nowadays stress is talked about a lot, very few speak about practical, applicable skills that could help us cope with it. The goal of this workshop is for the participants to, with the help of useful information and professional teachings, gain skills that would help them achieve peace and stability in their everyday life

Method:

Yoga on the beach and lectures
Lectures, discussions, and Yoga practice on the beach will help participants to achieve a certain inner peace and reevaluate their regular habits.

Workshop 105: “Taste Tunisia, Taste the world”

Theme:

Problem:

Being professional means that you will not have enough time to take care of yourself. Still, what we eat is absolutely important in the well-being and health caring for our lives. So how can we make sure to eat healthily, simply, tasty and still get to work in time?

Goal:

The goal of this workshop is to make the participants more aware of food habits and how they impact their lives. Also, this work will enable participants to share their local cuisine backgrounds and get to know more about Tunisian Kitchen.

Method:

Few tips over her, some talks over there, but it will be essentially about cooking. One of the best local chefs and dietitians will help you present some of your local dishes to the group, learn new tasty Tunisian recipes and maybe prepare a full dinner out of the best discoveries to the event's participants in the final day.

Expected results:

Never cooked or already experienced, this workshop will make its participants see how enjoyable it is to make a good meal. Marrying different tastes and cultures always gave birth to beautiful and colorful flavors, so let's be creative together.

Workshop 106: “outstand your profile”

Problem:

What you post on social media could have serious repercussions on your professional life. According to a 2018 CareerBuilder survey, 70% of employers use social media to screen candidates during the hiring process, and about 43% of employers use social media to check on current employees.

Goal:

This workshop proposes to help its participants to learn how to use social media services and professional networks to their benefits.

Method:

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other platforms will be a matter of discussion. Resumes and Motivation letters' development, a bit of graphic design and other useful skills will be gained through this workshop to help you outstand your profile.

Expected results:

After this workshop, participants will not only understand an employer's point of view but also will know how to adapt their profiles to the market's requirements and keep it going that way with the help of scientific methods and simple graphic design tools.

Workshop 107: “RobotiPs”

Theme:

Robotics

Problem:

It’s pretty clear that both home and industry use of robots is accelerating. “Robot density”, measured as the ratio of individual robots per 10,000 human employees, is rising at an annual rate of 5% to 9%, according to the International Federation of Robotics. The new generation is expected to know best about this.

Goal:

The goal of this workshop is to get the participants familiar with the main steps of robot making, from design to programming and through manufacturing we will make you know better about the technologies used today and how far these techs have taken the new robots.

Method:

3D printing, Arduino programming, Computer Aided Design, IoT protocols and other basic skills will be viewed together in a robot building project. Tasks and exercises will be distributed on the participants depending their pre-acquired knowledges.

Expected results:

Beginners will get more interested by this field, those who have a basic knowledge will become better, and those with a good experience already will lead the project with our moderators. Bring your computers and join this team building us a nice robot.

Problem:

Becoming a successful artist is very much like a lottery in which you work for years just to get a ticket. Bringing different artists from different domains together and expect something coherent back is even more complicated. Adding to this an international context and a digital interference, and no one will guarantee the result. But let’s give it a chance together.

Goal:

This workshop aims to bring together people from different artistic fields to work together on a one big project that will express this event to the world. The exact project will be defined later with the participants depending on their domain of expertise and motivation.

Method:

With the help of expert artists, we will bring together your efforts and Ideas to make a one big project that will be displayed in the final ceremony of the event. The sky is the limit, so bring whatever you think would fit to the project.

Expected results:

Through this workshop, we expect the participants to learn how to create an artistic project from craft. It will not be only about organization or resources, but also about creativity and exchange.

Workshop 109:“Short forms of Creative writing”

Theme:

Writing, Creativity

Problem:

You’re an aspiring writer or just a young person who likes to write then you are certainly facing a unique set of challenges; rich discerptions, focus, clichés and more. Don’t worry, you can overcome each and every one of them and this workshop will help you to.

Goal:

This workshop has the objective to introduce the participants to several short forms of creative writing in order to encourage them to actively take part and awaken their potential and imagination.

Method:

In parallel with getting to new creative writing perspectives and enhancing skills in the field, the workshop also offers entertaining and getting-to-know-each-other modules like energizers, ice-breaking games, various enticing tasks, and incentives for the best texts voted by the participants.

Expected results:

By the end of this workshop, participants will get a major level-up in short forms of creative writing. This prelude will make you raise your awareness around your writing skills and needs so later you will be able to progress on your own.

Workshop 110: “Become a Designer”

Graphic Design

Problem:

Almost all enterprises, businesses, associations or person have a digital print today. With all the applications provided, it’s not acceptable anymore to make a bad brochure or an ugly presentation. Is there a way to learn and apply these needed skills easily? This Workshop will help you answer this question.

Goal:

The aim of this workshop is to get the participants familiar with some basic applications made for graphic design and then use these acquired skills to create a full identity for a project or a corporation of your choosing.

Method:

Using Adobe’s softwares, building blocks of lines, shapes, mass and colors, you will learn how to make art with a purpose, that’s what Graphic Design is about.

Expected results:

To master Photoshop, Illustrator or Corel Draw takes months of hard work and devotion. Getting started in the other hand is totally doable. This workshop will enhance participant’s designing interest and skills while making them understand how easy it is now days to gain these new skills.
